Come out to the beautiful Musconetcong Valley in the heart of farm country and help plant a large riparian buffer along the banks of West Portal Brook and the Musconetcong River on the Beatty Farm (BSB Holsteins) in Asbury at 244 Asbury-West Portal Road, Asbury, NJ 08802 on Saturday, May 22 at 9 am. Please park near the barn but out of the way of the farm equipment and water hauling trucks. TU will supply tools courtesy of the North Jersey RC&D in Clinton, NJ, and all we need are the volunteers to plant and cage the plantings. TU volunteers will be joined by members of the Musky Trout Club, also located in Asbury. This is a large project and may require additional planting dates in the fall of 2010 so stay tuned for further details or check this website for updates on planting opportunities on this dairy farm or other locations within the Musky watershed.

The Beattys have been wonderful stewards of this property and have long been working on conservation of their land.
