Some of New Jersey’s finest trout streams are located in the western most areas of the state, yet NJTU has no chapters located in this area. Due to strong interest from a few dedicated trout anglers, we will be holding an initial meeting of those interested in helping form our 10th chapter in NJ on Thursday, April 15th at the Pequest Hatchery off route 46 in Oxford. The meeting will be held at 7:30 pm in the Education Center at the state’s trout hatchery. Interested members and non-TU members alike are welcome! We look forward to building a small, but highly effective voice for trout conservation and coldwater education amongst some of the state’s finest waters.
Several individuals have expressed interest in helping to form and run the new chapter which will be named at a later date. TU already has conservation projects under the Musconetcong Home Rivers Initiative as well as new TIC programs in the area slated to begin in September. The new chapter would certainly have an excellent head start on many new chapters that form around the country! Please consider attending our initial meeting on April the 15th.
